FALL CLASSIC NYC

BRANDS: NIKE, BLIND BARBER, FOHR CARD, REYKA VODKA, PERONI 

Tired of the typical events at Fashion Week, we created the FALL CLASSIC, a basketball game between various influencers and creatives in the menswear community. 

The game was held in Tompkins Square Park in the East Village to kick off New York Fashion Week. The afterparty, which was sponsored by Peroni and Reyka vodka, was held across the street at the venerable Blind Barber. Uniforms and equipment and were provided by Nike in addition to Nike Fuelbands which were used to award the 'hardest working team.' 

We are currently planning the second installment for September 2014.

What happens when a bunch of well-dressed men decide to trade in the wingtips and double monks for LeBrons and the latest Jordans? No, not the current state of the #menswear tag on Tumblr, but a basketball tournament featuring an array of menswear personalities like Dan Trepanier (TSBMen), Josh Kissi (Street Etiquette), and Jace Lipstein (Grungy Gentleman). These bloggers went head-to-head with brands and buyers in the first-ever Fall Classic NYC. Sponsored by Fohr Card, Nike, and The Blind Barber, the three brands realized that since all these tall-ass dudes were already in town for New York Fashion Week, they might as well have them compete for basketball glory. Remember the AND1 Mixtape? It's kind of like that, except with menswear bloggers and the guys behind brands like 3sixteen and shops like Carson Street Clothiers battling for blacktop domination.
